“Important Announcement” NVIDIA on Monday: get the Fermi

Responsible for the world’s leading producer of dedicated graphics, commented on Twitter that next Monday will be “an important announcement.” Notice that in all probability will be the presentation of the new generation of dedicated graphics cards with the chip GF100 “Fermi”, the first of the company’s APIs with support for DX 11.

NVIDIA hopes to regain ground lost to AMD / ATI Radeon 5000 and commercializing the new Fermi.

“An important announcement” that is more than likely relates to the presentation of the GeForce GTX 480 and GTX 470, the first GF100 to reach the market in competition with the Radeon HD series 5800 and 5900 on the high end.

By earlier reports, we know that both models will have 512-core CUDA interface 384-bit GDDR5 memory and support for multimedia libraries for Microsoft DirectX 11. On Monday we should have more data from these models, prices and release dates. I’ve told you.
