Intel is expanding its successful line of Atom CPUs. Even in the second quarter of 2010, the chipmaker will probably bring a successor to the Atomic D510 on the market: the atomic D525. The new Atom CPU supports DDR3 memory is clocked at 1.8 GHz and, like its predecessor a TDP of 13 watts.

Chip manufacturer Intel is successful with its Atom CPUs, especially in the market for netbooks. In the months to bring the Intel Atom processor N470, N475 and N455 in the trade. The models Atom N475 and N455 are working together with both DDR2 and DDR3 RAM.

Also still in the current quarter, Intel would bring out a successor to the D510 Atom: The Atom D525 works with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz and, like its predecessor a TDP of 13 watts. It can work both with DDR2 memory as well as with the newer, faster DDR3 memory.

The Atom CPUs with an N before the number are for netbooks, with a D before the number for use in desktop computers as Nettops. With the new Atom CPUs Netbooks and Nettops more become an alternative to desktop PCs or notebooks as far as far as standard applications such as word processing and surfing the Web.

Many people want to be able to format their hard drive but it can be an intimidating prospect especially if you don’t know what to do. In this article are going through a few steps that you need to take before you format your hard drive.

Remember, when you format your drive you will lose absolutely everything that you have. For this reason before you format it you need to make sure that you have a backup of all the different files and folders. Failure to do so will mean that your data will be lost forever which is definitely not what you want. Whenever I format drive make sure I have at least two copies in separate places of different files that are especially important. For example I might put one on a DVD and then a second copy on an external hard drive.

Generally it is a good idea to backup everything and leave it a few days before you format the drive. This will give you time to make sure that you haven’t forgotten an important file which can be very easy to do. If you aren’t the only person that uses a computer you need to make sure that all the people who have accounts and files on it are aware that you’ll be formatting it soon so that they can get all important document off it as well.

So why would you want to format a drive in the first place? Hard drives are like garages – they can become very cluttered over time and need a clear out. If you’re installing a new drive then you may also want to format it to get rid of any unwanted files. Formatting a hard drive can also sometimes be the only solution if you have a virus that can’t be got rid of any other way.

Technological advances in many areas make it possible to build devices that were not possible 20, 10 or even 5 years ago too. Been the rapid development of integrated circuits (IC) is a major factor and the other important factors are the rapid development of the color screen and camera. Advances in IC’s have led to the reduction of the size and weight of mobile devices as the required processing can be faster with smaller equipment and lower costs. Color high-resolution screens allow complex applications and services are presented for visually that 10 years ago were in science fiction movies were. The pace will occur in which these advances in technology, is mind boggling and difficult to predict.

The Apple iPhone is an excellent example of a phone, the small, smooth and has some amazing applications that 5 years ago would have been difficult to support such a device. Apple have traditional mobile manufacturers like Nokia and Ericsson, that the application to provide equipment services to the customers driven show is far better than a high-specification supports the latest mobile 3GPP specification. The iPhone is a weak instrument in relation to the RF functions, but the average person is not really important that if the phone works.

The Google G1 was produced in cooperation with T-Mobile after the foot steps of Apple iPhone. However, it would have some amazing applications of the phone was not as user friendly as the iPhone and had no success after launch. Google G2 is a second attempt to capture some of the markets Apple has won through its iPhone solution.

Overall, these new phones allow people to easily access the Internet, browse regular Web pages and manage their e-mail accounts with just one click of a button. The number of applications, however, comes with a lot of something new for winning each week. I think that finally we have the applications that match what was promised when third generation mobile networks has been launched for the first time.

I just can not wait until my hand on the next iPhone killer Funky mobile applications such as Apple and receive its services.

If you are part of a large company there is a high probability that you have an IT department. As part of your IT department, you probably have rows of computers. Well, if you have a typical IT department, you probably have something called “clutter” effect, which is known for. This happens when your company upgrades their computers, but the IT department does not know quite what to do with the old machines.

When this happens your company an accumulation of old computers will do somewhere in the building. Probably thinking to himself: “What?” We do not have that! “. Rest assured, it is somewhere in your building, and you’re bound to run over them sooner rather than later. With all the environmental standards in force in relation to the disposal of computers, it is not surprising that the IT department would actually be afraid to throw them away.

You’re going to walk through the corridors of the company at some point, and you get a door that you never see paid any attention in the past. Open it and you will probably be a huge stack of computers in the past year. If they are not somewhere in a closet, stacked then the IT department probably has it in her office and have decided to use them as furniture. Whatever the case, you will be connected to a computer recycling facility needed sooner rather than later.

A good computer-recycling plant will be able to take care of all the computers in your office, and they will be able to do so in a clean manner. Some people might be hesitant about turning their precious computers via a recycling company. The main reason is data. Company drives contain information that is confidential and important for the company. Maybe you’re not sure you’ve done a good job of erasing hard drives, and that’s perfectly fine.

There are many good recycling centers are doing a stellar job to delete old data. You do such a government standards, and when you need it to be saved, they can also do this for a fee. Well, what happens to the computer?

They usually try to be the computer reuse, and if it is not completely obsolete, it will be another company or even school, more than happy to make it out of the hands. In the event the computer can not be reused, it must be broken down into parts. Once this is done, can be recycled.

Do not hesitate to recycle the old computer. You can either find a new home, or they can break into a safe, clean way down. There is no reason not to do so into the computer recycling facilities near you are looking to take the next step.

Just like your car, appliances, or anything else that can run computer down over time. With the lighting fast pace at which new technology yesterday’s news, many of us never the effect of time on our machines before they banished to the scrap yard. Unfortunately, this often leads to neglect the physical needs of their users’ machines, the hardware may cause errors. With PC owners to feel the squeeze in this economy, it is good to know that simple things that we all can do to to increase the life of our machines.

Overheating is one of the most dangerous converns for hardware, one of the easier and to minimize or avoid altogether. Running between the small moving parts and electric currents through everything inside your computer can become very hot, causing damage to every piece of your system. The first thing to do on your PC to monitor the temperature. If it feels hot to (not just warm) or the temperature rises over time it becomes clear you need to intervene. All computers have fans to help small, creates the distribution of heat inside the housing, in a computer that is overheating, these can be broken or simply not strong enough. You can replace these fans (heatsink itself), or do you hire a professional to get it for you. You can also have problems, reduces the overheating do not push your desktop past his skills) to ensure (Overclocking and that the vents are clear of obstructions.

Easy to solve another problem for the users may surprise you: dust bunnies. Just as dust found its way into the strangest places in your car, but also winds its way into your computer where it can build. While most of the time, which is harmless, large piles of dust can damage moving parts or block the vents for the heat sink. The best solution is open regularly to the casing of your computer and the use of “canned air” to blow away the dust inside. Remember, make sure the computer is turned off and unplugged before you open it to prevent damage to hardware and launch themselves.

While keyboards and mice are relatively inexpensive components, it is not still get smart to replace them if you could just as well they are working to keep much longer. Keyboards are often damaged when food and other small objects remain hidden under the key. Do not eat to reduce the risk to the computer, or put away on the keyboard if you do. Standard mice, constructed with a ball on the ground to track movement, should be used on a clean surface such as a mouse pad. You should clean them out regularly and keep it well out of the food like a keyboard. In the event that liquid spilled on the two posts, immediately pull and let it all the way before the test if it is still functional (this is to reduce the risk to be a short dry).

One great way to include protecting the components from your computer into a bit of an investment, but it literally mean life or death for your computer. Instead of direct connect to the grid, or simply power strip, you can use a surge protector or a universal power supply, to protect your computer from voltage spikes and outages. Both problems cause an enormous amount of hardware damage and data loss each year. It is critical to a universal power supply has sufficient voltage to run on the entire system to come to get the full benefit, so it might be useful to Power Consult with a professional about your needs when choosing the product. Surge protectors do not provide the same protection against data loss in case of power failure, but is cheaper and offers the protection needed for your hardware from power spikes.

The first step to cleaning a windows system is to install and run spybot search and destroy. Just about every windows system is infected with some type of spyware which gathers information about your system and what you do with it.

Next I look at their installed programs, I make a list the rarely used programs and call the client to see if they use them, if not I uninstall them.

To see your installed programs go to the start menu, control panel, and click add, remove programs. Getting rid of the ones you don’t use is essential to a clean windows system.

Now here is the big thing, Windows uses a registry which stores information about everything on your computer. The registry being bloated or having invalid, corrupt, or missing files causes most of the problems that the average windows system user mistakes for a virus, like lag or frequent crashes, and constant error messages.

To fix these problems you need software like registry easy, it’s very simple to use but you actually have to use it. Usually when I run this program on a clients PC for the first time it comes up with 1000-2000 errors, it only takes one to cause a problem.

To clean a windows system, I charge $40.00 I don’t like to do this because registry easy only cost $39.95, and basically does all the work for you, but I can tell people till I am blue in the face and they just don’t take my advice they would rather keep paying me and I can’t work for free.

I honestly hope you take my advice and clean your own PC, use repair shops if this doesn’t help. Enjoy your clean windows system.

Spyware, adware, popups, unwanted homepages, the list goes on. Spyware seems to grow more powerful each year. Maybe the programmers are getting more clever, maybe we just don’t bother reading any of the freeware disclaimers (yes that’s a big one folks). The truth is, nearly everyone (maybe not the mac community then!) has got some sort of spyware on their system, the chances are, you don’t even know it. Most spyware is pretty harmless and can remain in the background without too much worry but for anyone who is really experiencing the problems associated with spyware or adware and doesn’t want to fork out the money for software. Here are a few helpful problem solvers, be warned though, they are not for the faint of heart.

Firstly, you will have at some point in the past, downloaded the spyware or adware, you probably didn’t realise it at the time but by simply clicking an add or installing a piece of freeware of some kind, you would have inadvertently put something on your pc.

Using the first method, what you need to do is try to think of when your pc started to have noticeable problems, then using your system restore function within the system tools folder, you can wind back the clock on your pc. It works like magic and providing you have set it to create regular restore points this shouldn’t be too much bother, if you don’t have regular points then the system itself will provide one. Make sure however, that you save any recent documents or data before the restore. People over look this simple technique but it can work like magic.

The real hard hitter in wiping spyware has to be a complete reformat and reinstall. Now before you throw your hands up and close this page, bear with it. Yes its a long winded process but provided you save all relevant data, put by a morning at sometime in the future that you can afford to be without the pc and just go for it. It doesn’t take as long as you think, most of it is fully automated, you will have to click a few buttons but other than that, you will be guaranteed your pc will fly like new.

In future you will need to be more vigilant of certain ads, sites and free ware. These are the infamous gateways to spyware getting installed on your site.

The personal computer, or PC as it is better known has become an integral part of many people’s lives in today’s society and we use them in a variety of different ways. Some people use them for keeping in touch with friends and family via email, while others use them solely for entertainment purposes such as playing games, music and even watching movies. PC’s are also used in the workplace for a wide range of duties including typing letters, storing and calculating data or even creating graphics and technical drawings.

It seems that computers can cater for practically any requirement and the list of software and utilities available continues to grow at a frantic pace. Unfortunately, computers like all machines in life are not perfect and they can break down or malfunction which can be very frustrating. These days most people are familiar with using a computer but when things go wrong most people have little or no idea and how to fix the problem and specialist help is required. Some businesses have a dedicated department to deal with these issues as and when they arise but for people without this support outside assistance is required.

One of the best ways of having your computer checked out is via a Remote Computer Repair service and as most computer problems tend to be software related, this service has rapidly grown in popularity over recent years in both the workplace and at home. Providing you have a good Internet connection, you can easily search online for a remote computer repair specialist who can quickly gain access to your PC and start working on the problem. These specialists are highly trained in their field and can easily find and remove rogue software such as spyware or viruses as well as optimize and clean up your PC and even set up a network for you. Networking can be a real headache for most people but many remote computer specialists are experts and can create a network for both the home and office which is very useful if you want to share files between computers or browse the Internet from anywhere in the home.

There are many benefits from having your computer fixed using a remote computer service. You don’t have any of the hassle of packing up your PC and finding a repair shop to look at it which could takes days or even weeks to get sorted and sometimes can be very expensive. Your PC can be looked at straight away without any call out charges or waiting for an engineer to turn up and online support tends to be significantly cheaper than what most pc repair shops charge.

You might have reservations about allowing a specialist to access your computer which often contains data that you want to keep private but if you search online for reviews on the various remote software repair companies, you can easily find one that is trustworthy. Some specialists will even guide you through each step and allow you to make the repairs yourself if you feel that uneasy about allowing them access to your files which helps give you complete peace of mind.

Sometimes you will turn on your computer and use an application and suddenly you get a message saying that it’s missing a required DLL file or files. For one reason or another these DLL files have either been moved, erased, or changed. This can happen because of malware, viruses, or just technical glitches in the operating system.

You probably want to remove the missing DLL files message and keep using your computer like you always have. There are a couple ways of doing this.

Let’s say that whenever you open a program you see this message. The first step involves updating the program. The update might have the required files to fix whatever your version right now seems to be missing.

If this doesn’t work or an update isn’t available, you can try to reinstall the program. The installation files for that specific program should have all the files with it since you originally were not having these errors.

Some missing DLL files might not be associated with an application or you can’t figure out which one to fix. Sometimes these are seen as soon as you start your computer.

Some expert users can track down the DLL file on the internet and put it into the proper folder fixing the problem, but this is fairly difficult.

The simple option is to get a registry cleaner software that can help with DLL errors. The computer’s registry is kind of like it’s log book or journal of everything that has taken place on this computer concerning applications and settings. A registry cleaner can go through this registry and fix corruptions, errors, and problems. So if you want that annoying missing DLL files error to go away, this is a good solution.

When something goes wrong with your taskbar, it can really ruin your computer experience. Strange taskbar behavior warrants immediate repair of the taskbar. The taskbar is like the air we breathe in computer world. We rely on it to get even the simplest task done. The good news is that this dilemma is easy to resolve.

Just Drag and Click the Taskbar

Have you ever had your taskbar end up on the right-hand side of your screen or way up at the top? It’s kind of like an American going to England and being expected to drive on the left side of the road or vice versa. You can do it, but would probably prefer not to. We are creatures of habit, and this feature really doesn’t seem to be preferred by most average computer users.

Just drag and click the toolbar back down to the bottom and right click on that baby. Now check “Lock the Toolbar.” You should be good to go.

How to Find a Hidden Taskbar

Sometimes, the taskbar will disappear when you run your mouse over it. Even better, you can’t even see it on your desktop anywhere.

When the trusty drag and click method doesn’t work, you can try to reset the settings. Don’t worry; I’m not about to ask you to perform a System Restore and try to remember the exact date that this phenomenon occurred. Nor will you get to do something as challenging as reloading your entire operating system.

This problem is not that complicated. Here’s what you do:

• Go to Start or just press Ctrl+Esc and it will pull up the start menu.
• Select settings, Taskbar, and then Start Menu.
• Make sure that you have the auto hide off and the taskbar is unlocked.
• Now if your taskbar is set to a zero height, you can resize it. Usually a small line will appear at the bottom of the screen for you to click and drag back to its normal size.
• After you fix it, don’t forget to right click and lock the taskbar back in place.

When the Taskbar is Still Acting Strange

Does your taskbar still not want to restore programs or when you try to fix the toolbar settings, everything is grayed out? This may just be faulty registry keys. The next thing you want to do is check for any malware on the computer.

After eliminating that, it may be time to run a registry cleaner. For the more adept computer user, you may decide to do it yourself.
