Smartphones with the operating system Android, such as the Nexus One, are becoming more popular. The sales increase almost every week, and this could soon happen much more rapidly. The reason for this is the discounted cost for the production of the required chip sets. MediaTek, one of the manufacturers of these chip sets, has now announced that the hardware for Android smartphones from autumn to be significantly cheaper.

But who are already in this country for cheaper phones is pleased to be said that the price cuts will initially be introduced only in the Chinese market. The manufacturer MediaTek will take care of the lower chip set for another boom in sales of the Android devices. When the company with the production, however, extends so far that the prices can be reduced also in Europe, the company reported so far with not.

The number of counterfeit Android smartphone is alone so far this year rose by almost twenty percent.
